Not sure if this is posted in the right section but as the deadline is the end of this month, I thought ‘news’ seemed the best place.
Basically, it’s a website seeking submissions of health-divergent fiction. That means the stories have to be about or from people with specific mental or physical conditions that make them different from most folk. I am avoiding the word ‘disabled’ for good reason here as I myself have some autistic traits and in my work I often encounter those with physical issues. I think we have out-grown the word ‘disabled’ because it places a negative emphasis on a person who may be very capable indeed.
Anyway, back to the anthology, they are looking for writers across the “disability, mental illness, developmental disabilities, neurodiversity, Blind, and d/Deaf spectrums. We welcome those who manage what are known as “invisible” and “visible” disabilities and/or chronic conditions.”
